Gene test may spare Low-Risk breast cancer patients from chemo
NCT ID NCT03503799
First seen Apr 15, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study follows about 1,200 women with early-stage, hormone-sensitive breast cancer to see if a gene test called EndoPredict can identify those at low risk of cancer spreading. Patients classified as low risk by the test received only hormone therapy and no chemotherapy. The goal is to confirm that these women have a 10-year survival rate without distant cancer spread above 90%, potentially sparing many from chemotherapy side effects.
