New implant tested to tame debilitating endometriosis pain
NCT ID NCT05570786
Summary
This study tested a small, dissolvable hormone implant placed under the skin to see if it safely reduces pelvic pain caused by endometriosis. It compared the active implant to a placebo (inactive) implant in 100 women over 6 months. The main goal was to check for serious side effects, while also exploring if the implant improved pain, quality of life, and reduced the need for other pain medications.
