New drug aims to fix faulty calcium control in rare disease
NCT ID NCT05680818
Summary
This study is testing a drug called encaleret for people with Autosomal Dominant Hypocalcemia Type 1 (ADH1), a rare genetic disorder that causes low blood calcium. It compares encaleret to the current standard treatments to see if it's better at keeping calcium levels in a healthy range and reducing calcium loss in urine. The goal is to find a more effective way to manage this lifelong condition.
