First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This pilot study tests whether a breathing exercise program (expiratory muscle strength training) can improve cough, swallowing, and drooling in people with Parkinson's disease who also have a forward-bent posture. About 28 adults with Parkinson's will participate. The goal is to see if this simple training can reduce the risk of pneumonia and improve quality of life.
