Zap your gains? study tests electric boost for weightlifters

NCT ID NCT07484646

Summary

This study is testing whether adding electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) to regular weightlifting helps trained athletes build more muscle and get stronger. For 8 weeks, one group will do weightlifting alone, while another will do weightlifting with EMS pads on their muscles. Researchers will measure changes in muscle size, strength, and power to see if the EMS provides an extra benefit.
