First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looks at how patients with cancer perceive their doctor's empathy during the COVID-19 pandemic. It compares in-person visits where doctors wear protective equipment (PPE) to video calls where doctors do not wear PPE. About 107 adults from MD Anderson's emergency cancer center will share their feelings after each type of visit. The goal is to understand which way of communicating feels more caring to patients.
