New hope for type 1 diabetes: can two popular drugs help control blood sugar without weight gain?

Summary

This study tests whether adding empagliflozin or semaglutide to insulin helps overweight or obese adults with type 1 diabetes achieve better blood sugar control. About 105 participants will take one of the two drugs or a placebo for 3 months. The goal is to lower HbA1c levels safely without causing dangerous low blood sugar or weight gain.
