First seen Dec 26, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study compares a single dose of the experimental drug emodepside to the standard treatment albendazole for people aged 12 and older infected with Trichuris incognita (whipworm). About 100 participants will receive one dose of either drug and be checked 14-21 days later to see if the infection is cleared. The goal is to find a more effective treatment for this parasitic infection.
