New drug tested to rescue patients from dangerous CAR-T side effect

Summary

This study is testing a drug called emapalumab to see if it can safely treat a serious side effect of CAR-T cancer therapy. The side effect, called prolonged severe cytopenia, causes dangerously low blood cell counts. The trial will enroll 32 adults with lymphoma who developed this condition after receiving CAR-T treatment.
