App aims to tame childhood obesity before it starts

Summary

This study tests whether a smartphone app that coaches parents can help prevent obesity in children who already have a high body mass index (BMI). About 148 families will take part, with parents using the app to improve their child's diet and activity. The goal is to see if the app can lower the child's energy balance and BMI over 48 weeks.
