10-Year watch: does popular eczema cream pose cancer risk to kids?
NCT ID NCT00568997
Summary
This is a long-term safety study, not a treatment trial. Researchers are following 8,000 children and teens with eczema for 10 years to see if using Elidel cream (pimecrolimus) increases their risk of developing cancers like lymphoma. The study is observing children who have already used the cream, not giving them new treatment.
