First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tested whether electroacupuncture (a type of acupuncture with mild electrical pulses) can relieve dry eye symptoms better than a fake procedure. Researchers enrolled 168 adults with mild-to-moderate dry eye and measured tear film stability and other eye health markers. The goal was to see if the treatment works beyond a placebo effect.
