First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tested whether a 12-week group exercise program could work well in a First Nations community. Twenty older adults took part in low-intensity exercise sessions led by the community. Researchers looked at how many people joined, how often they came, and changes in physical activity, quality of life, and social connections. The goal was to see if the program was practical and helpful for Indigenous elders.
