New online tool aims to ease worry for heart device patients

Summary
This study is creating and testing an online resource called CHOICE-ICD for people who have an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD), a device that shocks the heart if it beats dangerously. The goal is to help patients and their families understand the device better, reduce anxiety, and improve quality of life. About 64 patients will use the tool for 3 months, and researchers will measure how useful and easy it is to use.
