New hope for tough leukemia? early trial of eganelisib begins

Summary
This early-phase study tests a new drug called eganelisib, given alone or with standard chemotherapy (cytarabine), in about 125 adults whose acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or high-risk myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) has returned or not responded to prior treatment. The main goals are to check the drug's safety, find the best dose, and see if it can shrink or control the cancer. This is not a cure study, as ongoing management is expected.
