Tapping away pain: new study tests EFT for bypass recovery

NCT ID NCT07120932

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looks at whether Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) — a type of tapping therapy — can help people who have had coronary artery bypass surgery feel less pain, worry less about their heart, and sleep better. About 66 patients will be split into two groups: one gets standard care plus EFT, the other gets standard care alone. The results will show if adding EFT makes recovery easier.
