First seen Feb 16, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tested whether applying ice or vibration to the forearm muscles changes hand grip strength, muscle activation, reaction time, and hand function. 80 healthy adults aged 18-35 were randomly assigned to ice, vibration, or no treatment. Researchers measured outcomes using surface EMG and a hand dynamometer to understand how these simple stimuli affect hand performance.
