More doctor Check-Ins may boost colonoscopy success in hospital patients
NCT ID NCT07263867
First seen Dec 12, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tests whether increasing resident ward rounds from 2 to 4 times per day helps hospitalized patients achieve better bowel preparation before a therapeutic colonoscopy. About 300 adults will take part across three hospital wards. The goal is to see if more frequent check-ins reduce the number of poor-quality bowel preps, which can lead to cancelled procedures or longer hospital stays.
