First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looked at whether natural (unprocessed) milk or pasteurized milk helps the gut mature faster in very premature babies born between 28 and 30 weeks. Fifty-five infants received small feedings of either natural or pasteurized milk. The goal was to see which type better supports gut development during early feeding.
