Summary
This study looked at 100 pregnant women having planned C-sections to see if the time from incision to delivery affects the baby's umbilical cord blood gas levels (pH and base excess), which are markers of newborn well-being. Researchers compared women who had general anesthesia versus spinal anesthesia. The goal was to understand how delivery timing and anesthesia type relate to these blood gas measures, without changing any standard care.
