New study aims to help kids wake up calmer after surgery

Summary
This study tests whether using EEG or BIS to guide anesthesia during surgery can lower the chance of children waking up confused or agitated (emergence delirium). About 540 children aged 1-6 having hernia or testicle surgery will take part. Researchers will compare how often delirium occurs with each monitoring method.
