Summary

This study looks at brain wave patterns (EEG) in 250 adults during anesthesia to find better ways to measure how deep their unconsciousness is. Current monitors don't work well with all anesthetics, so researchers hope to create a more reliable system. Participants will have their brain activity recorded while receiving different anesthetic drugs, and the data will be used to train computer models to recognize states of consciousness.
