Nurse-Led education eases fears for kidney stone patients

NCT ID NCT07341607

Summary

This study tested whether structured education from nurses could help patients feel less anxious and improve their quality of life when undergoing a common, non-invasive treatment for kidney stones. Researchers enrolled 188 adults scheduled for their first shock wave therapy session. They measured changes in anxiety and quality of life from before the procedure to four weeks after.
