Eczema breakthrough? DNA fragments in blood could reveal hidden inflammation
NCT ID NCT07573735
First seen May 10, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looks at whether tiny DNA fragments released from damaged skin cells into the blood can help measure eczema severity. Researchers will compare blood and skin samples from 80 adults with eczema and healthy volunteers. The goal is to see if these DNA fragments trigger immune cells and if they relate to symptom scores. This research may lead to simpler blood tests for monitoring eczema and identify new targets for treatment.
