This study tested a drug called eculizumab in 57 people with severe Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), a rare condition where the immune system attacks nerves, causing muscle weakness and paralysis. Participants received either eculizumab or a placebo alongside standard treatment. The goal was to see if the drug helped them regain the ability to walk independently faster. The trial took place only in Japan and has been completed.
