Summary
This small, early-stage study tested whether inhaling a substance called Ectoin could help reduce airway sensitivity and inflammation in people with mild asthma. Researchers gave 18 adults increasing doses of the solution to find a safe and potentially effective amount. The main goal was to see if it made patients' airways less reactive to a standard breathing challenge test.
