First seen Nov 03, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tested a small implanted device called eCoin that stimulates a nerve in the ankle to help people with sudden, strong urges to urinate. 38 adults who had not gotten enough relief from other treatments received the implant and were randomly assigned to one of two stimulation levels. The main goal was to see how much their daily urgent bathroom trips decreased after 3 months.
