Could a Weight-Loss tool trigger eating disorders in kids?
NCT ID NCT06807489
First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026
Summary
This study checked if children and teens with obesity who used a special treatment tool (combining digital and in-person care) were at risk for developing eating disorders like anorexia or binge eating. Researchers looked at medical records of 312 patients to see if any showed signs of disordered eating or were diagnosed with an eating disorder during or after treatment. The goal was to understand the tool's safety, not to test a new treatment.
