Could a simple breakfast before surgery ease your nerves?

NCT ID NCT05819801

Summary

This study is testing whether eating a light meal before a specific type of minor hand surgery (done with only local numbing medicine) is better than fasting. Researchers want to see if eating reduces patient anxiety, nausea, and pain on the day of surgery, and improves overall satisfaction. About 134 adult patients will be randomly assigned to either eat or fast before their procedure, and their experiences will be compared.
