First seen Dec 18, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study looked at 88 pregnant people whose water broke before labor started (at 37-41 weeks). Researchers compared starting labor induction right away versus waiting a bit, to see how it affected labor length and chances of a vaginal birth. The goal was to find the best timing for inducing labor after the water breaks.
