First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study looks at whether doing an early belly ultrasound can help doctors diagnose serious gut problems in premature babies. About 100 premature infants with symptoms like bloating, bleeding, or vomiting will get an early ultrasound. The goal is to see if this scan, along with exams and lab tests, can spot issues like infection or bowel blockages faster and more accurately.
