New study tests High-Tech rehab to get hip replacement patients back on their feet faster

NCT ID NCT07550647

First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether starting physical therapy early after hip replacement, combined with electrical stimulation and remote coaching via video calls, helps people regain walking ability and strength faster. About 52 adults aged 50 to 75 having their first hip replacement will be split into two groups: one gets the extra rehab, the other gets standard care. The goal is to see if the new approach improves mobility and quality of life.
