Gentle touch at home: can Parent-Led massage boost preemie development?
NCT ID NCT02835612
Summary
This study tested whether teaching parents a simple program of gentle massage and passive exercises for their very premature babies could improve the children's thinking and movement skills. 138 preterm infants and their parents were involved. One group of parents learned the special stimulation techniques to use at home, while the other group received standard care, to see if the extra parent-led activities made a difference in development by 18 months.
