First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at whether starting palliative care early helps people with advanced upper GI or colorectal cancer feel better. 108 patients were split into two groups: one had early contact with a palliative care team, the other only when needed. Researchers tracked quality of life, pain, anxiety, and survival to see if early support made a difference.
