First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This early-phase study tests whether tirzepatide, a drug used for diabetes and weight loss, can lower biological markers linked to colorectal cancer risk. Researchers will measure changes in urine, blood, and gut bacteria in 20 adults aged 18–50 with a BMI between 27 and 40. The goal is to see if this approach could help prevent early-onset colorectal cancer.
