Prostate surgery patients may go home in 24 hours thanks to Nurse-Led care
NCT ID NCT05912764
First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tests a new care plan that lets patients go home just 24 hours after laser surgery for an enlarged prostate, instead of the usual 48 hours. Nurses will supervise recovery at home. The goal is to see if this shorter stay is safe and does not lead to more complications or return hospital visits. About 440 adults scheduled for this surgery will take part.
