New CGM tech could catch gestational diabetes earlier, protecting moms and babies

NCT ID NCT07276945

First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study aims to improve how gestational diabetes is diagnosed by using continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) technology instead of the standard single blood test. Researchers will enroll 300 pregnant women early in pregnancy (within 14 weeks) and use CGM data along with AI tools to detect diabetes sooner. The goal is to start treatment earlier, which may reduce health risks for both mother and baby.
