Heart valve patients could go home next day in new protocol

Summary
This study is testing whether patients can safely leave the hospital just 24 hours after having a TAVI procedure to replace a narrowed aortic valve. Researchers are following 585 patients who receive this minimally invasive heart valve replacement to see if early discharge leads to more complications or readmissions. The goal is to determine if recovering at home sooner is just as safe as staying in the hospital longer.
