First seen May 30, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a detailed heart ultrasound can find early signs of heart damage in people with leukemia who are receiving a type of chemotherapy called anthracycline. About 100 adults aged 18 to 65 took part. The goal was to catch heart problems sooner, so doctors can adjust treatment and reduce the risk of serious heart issues.
