Oxford's COVID-19 vaccine put to the test in over 1,000 volunteers
NCT ID NCT04324606
Summary
This early-stage study tested a new COVID-19 vaccine called ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 to see if it was safe and if it could protect people from getting sick. It involved 1077 healthy adult volunteers in the UK, aged 18 to 55, who received the vaccine as a shot in the arm. The main goals were to check for side effects and to measure how well the vaccine prevented confirmed COVID-19 infections and severe illness.
