Therapy for anxious kids and parents shows lasting relief

Summary
This study tested a 20-session therapy program for children ages 4 to 7 who were at risk for anxiety disorders. The program included sessions for parents and children together. Out of 65 children, those who received the therapy showed much greater improvement in anxiety symptoms compared to those on a waitlist, and the benefits lasted at least one year.
