Zapping the ear to boost learning? a tiny study investigates
NCT ID NCT05386563
Summary
This small study explored whether a gentle, non-invasive stimulation of the ear (taVNS) could change pupil size and affect how quickly people learn a simple computer task. Researchers tested 12 healthy adults, comparing the stimulation to fake (sham) treatments and no treatment at all. The goal was to gather basic knowledge about how this type of nerve stimulation might influence the brain and learning processes.
