Ear seeds and allergy pills: a new combo for hives?
NCT ID NCT07575464
First seen May 10, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at whether adding ear acupressure (small seeds taped to ear points) to a standard antihistamine pill can better relieve hives symptoms like itching and welts. About 66 adults with a specific type of hives called Wind-Heat urticaria will be randomly assigned to get either real or fake ear acupressure, plus the antihistamine loratadine. The main goal is to see if the combination reduces symptom scores and improves quality of life over 4 weeks.
