First seen Jun 18, 2026 · Last updated Jun 23, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tested a drug called E7820 in 12 people with relapsed or hard-to-treat blood cancers (AML, MDS, or CMML) that have mutations in certain splicing factor genes. What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
E7820 (a drug taken as a pill once daily)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a new treatment option for people with certain hard-to-treat blood cancers that have specific genetic mutations.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-phase trial with only 12 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The drug may not improve survival or could cause side effects.
Conditions
