New study tests best combo to prevent miscarriage
NCT ID NCT07608133
First seen May 28, 2026
Summary
This study looked at 100 women with threatened miscarriage (bleeding and pain in early pregnancy) to see if adding HCG injections to standard dydrogesterone pills works better than pills alone. Both groups took dydrogesterone twice daily; one group also received weekly HCG shots up to 14 weeks. The main goal was to stop bleeding and reduce pain after 14 days. Results will help doctors choose the best treatment to save the pregnancy.
