Summary
This study tests a program where nurses visit families with newborns at home to prevent child maltreatment and improve health. About 1,650 families in Durham County, North Carolina, are taking part. The goal is to see if these visits reduce child abuse, emergency room visits, and hospital stays, and help parents and children thrive.
