First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests a new type of brain stimulation for people with essential tremor, a condition that causes shaking during everyday tasks like writing or holding objects. The treatment uses magnetic pulses to target two brain areas at once, aiming to reduce shaking better than standard treatments. About 36 adults with tremor that doesn't respond well to medication will receive five sessions of this stimulation. The goal is to see if it safely improves tremor and quality of life for up to four weeks after treatment.
