Dry needling: a new hope for stubborn back pain?

NCT ID NCT06791434

First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tested whether adding dry needling (fine needles into tight muscles) to standard treatments like pain meds and physical therapy can better relieve myofascial low back pain. 156 adults with at least 3 months of pain took part. The goal was to see if the combination reduces pain more than standard care alone.
