New pill aims to slow vision loss in dry AMD

Summary
This study tests an experimental pill (EG-301) added to standard AREDS2 supplements in 90 people with dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and geographic atrophy. The goal is to see if the drug can slow vision loss and reduce damage to the retina over 6 months. Participants are randomly assigned to receive either AREDS2 alone or AREDS2 plus EG-301.
