First seen Feb 24, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looks at whether joining community drum circles can lower anxiety and boost feelings of connection in people of African descent who are dealing with stress, anxiety, or depression made worse by COVID-19. About 90 people aged 16 and older will take part. Researchers will measure how absorbed participants feel in the music and track changes in their mental state.
